SS-Panzerdivision "Frundsberg" with nearly full comabt strength, finally came through from Altdamm (Prawobrzeże in Poland at present). The Panzer Division Holstein and 10. SS-Panzerdivision "Frundsberg" was positioned on the right flank of the 28. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division "Wallonien" and was ordered to attack from the area of Schlötenitz (east of Koszewko in Poland at present) in the direction of Margarethenhof-Buslar (eest of Koszewo in Poland at present) in the morning on 16 February 1945 (1, 2).

15 February 1945, Repplin (Rzeplino in Poland at present), another reinforcement, the 4. SS-Polizei-Panzergrenadier-Division, was stationed on the left flank of 28. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division "Wallonien" for the impending attack in the morning on 16 February 1945 (3). The intention of these two SS divisions were to form a pincer movement on the right flank (10. SS-Panzerdivision "Frundsberg") along Lake Madue (Lake Miedwie in Poland at present) and on the left flank (4. SS-Polizei-Panzergrenadier-Division) along Lake Ploene (Lake Plon in Poland at present) and content the Russians inside the pocket.

15 February 1945, Repplin (Rzeplino in Poland at present), the 28. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division "Wallonien", no longer motorized, was not participated in the first wave of attack. Instead, SS-Obersturmbannführer Léon Degrelle (aged 39) received order to enlarge the security zone and prevent counterattack by Russians inside the pocket. The mission was to occupy the ridge at Lindenberg again in the morning on 16 February 1945 (4). This time a reinforced 7th company under the command of SS-Obersturmführer Jacques Capelle (aged 31)/II. battalion/SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Regiment 69 was chosened for the mission (5).

2. Schlötenitz was a landed estate in south of Stargard and eest of Küssow (Koszewko in Poland at present), the landed estate is no longer existed. According to Panzers East and West: The German 10th SS Panzer Division from the Eastern Front to Normandy, Chapter 8, "in the direction of Margaretenhof-Uslar" the place name should be mis-spelling by the author. The correct place name was Margarethenhof-Buslar. Margarethenhof was a residence or farm and Buslar was a landed estate in south of Stargard and eest of Koszewo in Poland at present. Both are no longer existed. For more information about the place name information please refer to Meyers Gazetteer.
