Panzergrenadier Cover Story: In Memory of Operation Market Garden 80 Years |
24 September 1944, the Allied continued to press on the KG Walther, especially the perimeter of the PB 107. At noon, the British pushed from Asten toward Deurne and threatened the rear area of the KG Walther. In the afternoon, the PB 107 received new order to redeployed from Erp to the bridge across Aa River between Erp and Gemert and from Boekel to Handel, then retreated to Gemert. That night, the PB 107 received another order to disengage from the front line and move to Oploo for new defense line (1).
